Federal suit: Port Clinton Fire Chief Kent Johnson sexually assaulted and harassed firefighter/EMT

Port Clinton Prosecuting Attorney's Office major-crimes investigator Trevor Johnson is accused of criminal acts of falsifying public records and tampering with evidence and records, in cover up for his father (depicted) former Port Clinton Fire Chief Kent Johnson's sexual abuse and the fire-department retaliation against Rebekah Huskey-Archacki that ensued.
PORT CLINTON, OH — Today, former Port Clinton firefighter and EMS worker Rebekah Huskey-Archacki filed formal criminal charges in the Ottawa County Court of Common Pleas against Trevor Johnson, an active criminal investigator with the Ottawa County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. The private-citizen filing, brought under Ohio law, accuses Trevor Johnson of repeatedly lying, conspiring with witnesses, and falsifying public records to cover up a targeted campaign of workplace retaliation against Huskey-Archacki after the criminal investigation and civil suit against his father, former Port Clinton Fire Chief Kent Johnson, for serial sexual assaults of Ms. Huskey-Archacki and theft of her intimate images. At the time, Trevor Johnson worked for both the Ottawa County Prosecuting Attorney's office, and as a firefighter for the City of Port Clinton.
Kent Johnson was convicted and sentenced to 180 days in jail for the misconduct.
Ohio Revised Code § 2935.09(D) authorizes private citizens to file an affidavit charging criminal offenses. A reviewing official, in this case a judge, then reviews the affidavit for probable cause and, if probable cause is found, the judge should issue an arrest warrant.
The bench memorandum and accompanying affidavit request an independent judicial finding of probable cause and an immediate warrant for Trevor Johnson’s arrest on multiple criminal counts:
Huskey-Archacki was constructively terminated from the Port Clinton Fire Department after reporting that then-Chief Kent Johnson systematically sexually harassed and assaulted her. Kent Johnson was criminally convicted of those acts on March 31, 2025.
Following her initial reports, rogue department members launched a boycott jeopardizing public safety by refusing to respond to emergency 9-1-1 calls whenever Huskey-Archacki was on duty.
The affidavit charges that when the City’s Safety Service Director ordered all volunteers to submit a truthful statement about this safety strike, Trevor Johnson, in conspiracy with at least one fellow department member, knowingly falsified his official public-record submission to protect his father and cover up the retaliation against Ms. Huskey-Archacki.
The filing attaches Trevor Johnson’s deposition testimony regarding explicit text-message screenshot evidence, obtained in civil discovery in Ms. Huskey-Archacki’s federal civil-rights case, showing that Johnson and fellow firefighter Keith Conte actively coordinated their written deceptions and celebrated the boycott:

The affidavit shows messages between Trevor Johnson and Conte in which they coordinated highly similar false denials of knowledge in response to the safety service director’s directive seeking information about retaliation.
During a federal civil deposition on March 3, 2026, a transcript of which is attached to Ms. Huskey-Archacki’s affidavit, Trevor Johnson was confronted under oath with his text logs and contradictory written reports. Questioned about his role in falsifying records and tampering with evidence, recognizing that his answers would expose his illegal cover-up, the law-enforcement investigator invoked his Fifth Amendment privilege against self-incrimination 22 times.
Because Trevor Johnson is currently employed within the Major Crimes Unit of the Ottawa County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, the filing outlines an irreconcilable conflict of interest. Huskey-Archacki has formally requested that the court bypass the local prosecutor’s office entirely and appoint an independent special prosecutor to oversee the case. The filing also objects to any assignment of Visiting Judge Robert Christiansen, who previously weighed witness credibility in related protective-order hearings, effectively making him a juror at that hearing.
“It is a profound violation of public trust when a major-crimes investigator uses his training to falsify public records, coach and collaborate with witnesses to lie, and plot ‘revenge’ against a sexual-assault survivor,” said Subodh Chandra, lead counsel for Huskey-Archacki. “The evidence shows Trevor Johnson chose family vindictiveness over his oath to the public, actively hiding a boycott that left Port Clinton residents at risk during emergencies. He must face the criminal consequences of his actions.”
Chandra added, “No one who has done what Trevor Johnson has done should be serving in law enforcement. That’s why Ms. Huskey-Archacki is determined to hold him accountable.”
And Chandra noted, “The Ottawa County Prosecuting Attorney should recognize that Trevor Johnson is now a ‘Brady’ officer—meaning that the prosecutor’s office must, from now on, reveal his acts of deception to criminal defendants in every case Johnson investigated or investigates.”
Trevor Johnson is not just a former Port Clinton firefighter, but also served as its safety service director.
