He has litigated in counties across Ohio, previously assisting national clients in civil litigation and business disputes. A native of Southern California, Ethan is an alumni of California State University - Stanislaus and graduated from Indiana University Bloomington – Maurer School of Law in 2023 with honors.
In law school Ethan was president of the American Constitution Society chapter and named a 2022 Next Generation Leader for his work advancing a progressive vision of the Constitution.
He remains active and engaged in progressive causes both in Ohio and nationally.

“Words cannot express the respect, honesty, and professionalism Mr. Chandra showed me and my family during a difficult time in my law-enforcement career. I called on Subodh when the mayor had retaliated against me for refusing to terminate two officers at my department. As Chief of Police I couldn't do it. I told the mayor why I could not do that and the mayor's response was "if you don't fire those officers, I will fire you." After that conversation, one of the many things the mayor did was to change the locks to my office on three separate occasions along with prohibiting me from using a police vehicle.
